The following is a self-assessment to help you identify factors that may determine your / your child’s suitability for clear aligner or Invisalign treatment. The assessment is meant to be informative but does not substitute for a comprehensive orthodontic evaluation by your dentist or orthodontist to determine your actual needs and condition.

1. Will you wear the aligners for at least 20 – 22 hours daily?

2. Have you previously undergone braces treatment and need retreatment but don’t want braces?

3. Are you willing to remove the aligners when eating or drinking anything other than water?

4. Will you maintain good oral hygiene habits, including brushing and flossing regularly and avoiding sugary foods and drinks?

5. Are you concerned with the visibility of your braces?

6. Does your work (travelling abroad etc.) or study not permit you to visit the orthodontic clinic every month for periodic check-ups?

7. Are you planning to get married or go abroad (to study or for other reasons) during the orthodontic treatment process?

8. Do you undergo physical sports training or participate in physical sports that braces may hinder?

9. Are you concerned about food restrictions during 24 – 36 months of orthodontic treatment with braces?

10. Have you discontinued any previous orthodontic treatment due to discomfort from braces and want to get treated now?
